Hello Holly and welcome to BLOSSOM
You have taken the first step on a magical journey that will take you from floundering as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) to truly flourishing so that you can BLOSSOM.
Using a mix of hypnotherapy, coaching, workbooks and audio (don’t worry about the mix, I will tweak them so that they are exactly right for you) we will work through your blocks, hand in hand in complete partnership.
If you have any questions along the way, then I am on hand to answer them. I will guide you though the entire process.
You will see below that you can access different resources for your journey – I will be adding to this as we go. I don’t put everything on here immediately because I want this to be a calm, enjoyable journey for you taken in small manageable steps.
You have access to the workbooks via the site for 6 months even though this is a 12 week program – I know that life can get in the way sometimes. The reason I put a time limit on this is because research shows that the longer we have to complete something, the less likely we are to do it!
Mindset Magic
Before we begin, it is super important to acknowledge the importance of our mindset and reflect upon anything that we can do to get us in the best possible place.
How do you start each day?
Do you make time for a morning practice or ritual? This could be a short meditation, yoga practice, thinking of an affirmation or a moment of mindfulness whilst preparing your morning drink.
It is really important for any HSP to have enough time to transition through each stage of the day. Try to ensure that you have enough sleep, going to bed earlier where possible by around 15 minutes until you reach your sweet spot and perhaps set your alarm that little bit earlier to allow you to start the day calmly.
Making time throughout the day?
Think about your usual day. Taking regular breaks is key – making a drink, taking in some fresh air or a moment of solitude in a quiet place to collect your thoughts.
How do you end each day?
Journalling can be really useful here as it is an opportunity to put to bed any intrusive thoughts before you go to bed. Questions to ask include
- Can I do anything about it now? If so, then do it and if not, then pop the action down on paper to do tomorrow.
- Did I do all that I reasonably could? You are not responsible for everything, only your own actions.
- What would I say to a friend who was worrying about this?
- Remember your thoughts are not necessarily truths – they alter through our mindset; this alters the way we perceive thing.
Also remember to make a note of what’s gone well that day or what has been good. It might be some flowers you have seen or a cute dog – the smaller the better as they sustain us everyday! Our brain has a tendency to focus on the negatives….so bring it back to the positive!
TIP: Keep exercise to before 2 hours before bedtime, no/limit alcohol (it interferes with rapid eye movement sleep which is essential for our mental wellbeing), limit caffeine and avoid heavy meals before bedtime (digestion will win over sleep!)

Magical Futures
In this section, you will look at the life you aspire to in order to create the steps you need to take.
Believe in Your Superpowers
Many of us have grown up with limiting beliefs about ourselves, either passed down through generations or messages given to us by society.
As a Highly Sensitive Person you are likely to have been told (many a time) that you are “too sensitive” or that you need to “toughen up”. This can leave us feeling that there is something wrong with us that needs to be fixed when in fact the opposite is actually true.
Additionally, many communities or groups do not value sensitivity – this can lead to feeling like your gifts are a burden and should be cloaked or disguised.
Consider also that whilst some HSP’s are extroverts, the majority are introverted. Yet we live in a society where being extrovert is often held up as the ideal – this adds another layer to the feeling like we don’t belong.
However, let me tell you that HSP’s have amazing gifts which the world needs more of. Once we honour and nurture these gifts, embracing our needs then we can stand in a place of self-acceptance being proud to be our wonderful, unique selves.
In this section you will take a deep dive into seeing your superpowers, reframing any negative thoughts and looking at your values. Living a life closer to your values will help you feel aligned and give your direction on the best way to live for you.

Loving Yourself
– also known as Self Compassion.
Self compassion will become your new best friend – it helps in every situation from making a decision or feeling upset about something that hasn’t gone quite to plan.
At its most basic level ‘self compassion’ can be understood as speaking to yourself with kindness – the way that you would speak to a dear friend.
Being compassionate to yourself also means validating any difficult feelings or thoughts you might be having and softening any negativity that comes with them.
If you are used to being self-critical, then it will take practice to be more compassionate to yourself. However we know that we can make new pathways in the brain that will allow this to become easier over time.
Being self compassionate is known to reduce stress, insecurities, anxiety and depression so it is a skill well worth taking the time to learn.
The guides in this section will help you to begin practicing self compassion.

Perfection Is never needed
Stop Shoulding
How many times have you found yourself saying “I should do…” or “I should go..”?
I fancy probably quite a few!! It’s no secret that the world we live in is not ideally suited to our HSP needs.
Around the turn of the century, society started changing what it valued…out went the quiet thinkers and in came the film stars. By the 1950s in the U.S. being able to sell (I.e. extroverted & charismatic) was one of the most revered qualities. It is also no secret however that at this time prescriptions for anxiety medications started to increases a result of having to be able to do it all and have it all.
Fast forward decades of technological advances and we live in a world of social media where everyone is ‘living their best life’, mobile phones or emails pinging at any hour. There is the ability to have things delivered within hours or stay out well into the early hours.
So where does this leave HSP’s? Often feeling like they don’t fit in or we aren’t “enough” and are somehow lacking?
Sometimes we feel like we have to be ‘on’ more than we want to be in order to fit in…or perhaps ‘faking’ being extroverted.
The good news is that with a bit of knowledge (and a healthy dose of self-belief) we can take advantage of the things we want to in modern society AND protect our well-being.
Welcome to the phrase ‘I choose’…replace this over ‘I should’ and begin to feel the transformative, empowering effects.
